ALLANDALE RANCH
Belonging to the group of mid-century homes that are plentiful around upper Shoal Creek, this house required clever reorganization and comprehensive remodeling. The kitchen, dining, and living areas, previously encapsulated in their own individual spaces, were opened to each other by removing walls and broadening openings. The living space was enlarged a few feet by moving back a long lateral wall. Two side-by-side bathrooms were combined and finished with onyx countertops and shower. The kitchen was completely gutted and outfitted with new custom cabinets, granite countertops, lighting, and appliances. New wood floors added throughout the home flow between spaces, unifying them.
