TARRYTOWN COLONIAL

This kitchen remodel presented the challenge of integrating contemporary design elements inside a 70-year old colonial style home. The original wood floors were refinished, enhancing their presence, and the paneled ceiling with its unusual diagonal patterning was left in place and repainted to add an interesting counterpoint to the new pristine stainless steel countertops. A large butcher block island was added to the center of the kitchen. The appliances were upgraded and all new custom cabinets were installed. The large frameless bay window acts as a stunning center of focus and gateway to the outdoors that had previously been limited by a traditional kitchen window.
