A Level Playing Field for Leisure

Multiple deck heights and a sunken pool made this backyard paradise inconvenient—certainly not a feeling one would associate with relaxation and enjoyment. We created a design that placed all of the pool elements on the same level of the home, as well as adding covered space for a full premiere outdoor kitchen and living room.

With a decidedly contemporary feel and copious space, this outdoor kitchen does not feel limited in any way; one might expect an identical layout for an indoor kitchen. The flattop, gas grill, and charcoal egg grill all have dedicated vent hoods. Stainless steel cabinets, quartz countertops, and concrete pavers ensure durability. Stained western red cedar adds warmth to the island and ceiling. Cooking stations are outfitted with a dish washer, trash drawer, ice chest with lid and drain, and a beverage fridge.

A custom made live oak table looks out over an outdoor living room with fireplace and television. You can almost feel the breeze coming through this space just by looking at it.

Our clients chose to color the pool white to increase its brightness. At night, LED light washes over the surface, changing the hue to whatever color seems fun at the time.
