Austin NARI Remodeled Homes Tour
September 20–21
Step inside a compelling selection of Austin’s professionally remodeled homes during the 20th Annual Austin NARI Remodeled Homes Tour. This self-guided two-day tour showcases fourteen remarkable transformations from local design-build professionals—offering an up-close look at the craftsmanship, creativity, and care that go into award-worthy renovations.
CG&S will have two homes to explore: a Texas Tuscan-Remix and a European Getaway in Spicewood.

Texas-Tuscan Remix
The homeowners of this River Place home wanted to update their house while preserving its original ‘Texas-Tuscan’ character. They wanted to retain the living room media center, ceiling trusses, and brick archway, while completely transforming their kitchen, laundry room, and gym. They also wanted to modernize the home to bring the Texas-Tuscan style to 2025. We did this by simplifying all the iron details in the home, removing trivial ornamental details, and adding striking finishes in high impact areas. The scope also included opening up the living spaces, creating a dynamic wine bar experience, new color-forward media room, and procuring all-new furnishings and home details. This home is a great example of a remodel that combines the old with the reimagined.

European Getaway in Spicewood
This 1970s house lacked the modern European design tradition our clients enjoyed overseas. They began their renovation journey with an architect in Houston, but it became clear as the design process progressed that they needed to work with a local firm who was familiar with and educated in the local codes and regulations of Austin permitting and who could also finish out the project in the Scandinavian modern style they desired. CG&S took over the project and brought their new space to life. The scope includes an interior renovation of their kitchen, adding more square footage to the space, a new pantry, and a striking stair detail with glass partition. We then added a second level with laundry room, new guest suite, office, and reading nook.
